IV. Processed Foods

1. Peanuts and peanut products

 

APEDA took initiatives in paperless processing and implemented online issuance of Certificate of Export (CoE) for peanut and peanut products through digital signature. Therefore, APEDA has issued 8696 CoEs during April to September 2017. It is pertinent to mentioned that about 90% CoEs were issued on the same day with the implementation of the paperless processing of CoEs.

 

2. Digitalization of registration and issuing of certificates

 

APEDA also implemented paperless filing, processing and certification of Peanut and Peanut Products (PPP) unit registration system. APEDA issued 36 nos. of PPP unit registration certificates after inspection and recommendation of the inspection Committee and following the procedure prescribed procedure. While 15 certificates were issued after amendments in the Unit registration as per request of the units.

 

3. Training programme on "Export of Peanut”

 

APEDA organized an Awareness cum Ttraining programme on "Export of Peanut” at  Dhule, Maharashtra on 19th May,2017.  The area has more than 60 Peanut Shelling Grading units working at domestic level. It was the first program organized by APEDA in Duhle, Maharashtra to educate them about the Procedure for Export of Peanut and Peanut products. Officials from MSAMB, State Agriculture and PPQ were present in the program. More than 100 participants attended the program.

 

5. B2B Made in India -food with Middle East buyers

 

APEDA supported and participated in B2B Made in India -food buyer seller meet  organised by FICCI in Gurgaon during April 20 & 21, 2017. Buyers from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Vietnam, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Iran, Egypt, European & African Countries were invited. From India, exporters and manufacturers of processed food products participated in the event.

 

6. Visit to Defence Food Research Laboratory (DFRL), Mysore on 06.09.2017

 

A delegation of exporters led by Chairman, APEDA visited the Defence Food Research Laboratory (DFRL) at Mysore, Karnataka on 6th September 2017 to understand the latest technology in the areas of food processing, preservation and development of value added products. The delegates of 18 exporters, three officials from APEDA, Mr Sunil Kumar, Director, APEDA, Mr Ravindra, Deputy General Manger and Ms. Sunita Rai, Asst. General Manager, APEDA participated in the exposure visit.

 

7. Participation in World Food India

 

APEDA participated in World Food India event during November 3-5, 2017 organised by Ministry of Food Processing Industries and CII in New Delhi. In the event, APEDA displayed the samples of processed food products i.e. Dried Fruits and Nuts, Processed Food Products such as ready to cook, ready to serve, ready to eat, pickles, jam and jellies, honey. etc.

 

8. Training on Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA) Preventive Controls for Human Food (PCHF)

 

APEDA organised a training programme for the exporters of processed food products who are exporting or willing to export to USA on Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA) Preventive Controls for Human Food (PCHF) in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh during November 14-19, 2017. Training was provided by M/s Sathguru Management Consultants and 25 participants attended the course and were provided the certificates for successful completion of the course.
